Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizes and assigns daily tasks to the culinary team, ensuring timely completion.
  • Trains and mentors staff on job responsibilities, food safety standards, and cooking techniques.
  • Prepares a diverse range of baked goods in accordance with production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Prepares workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
  • Measures, weighs, mixes, and processes food items accurately.
  • Safely operates various kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Employs different cooking methods such as baking, roasting, and steaming.
  • Presents and portions food in alignment with established standards.
  • Ensures proper food storage in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service and a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  • Follows Aramark's safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in a culinary role is preferred.
  • Experience as a baker or in a related cooking position is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
  • Strong understanding of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and safety regulations.
  • Food safety certification(s) are required.
  • Basic math and counting skills are necessary.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are important.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
