Business Development Associate

Are you a driven individual looking to take your sales career to the next level? We're seeking a talented Business Development Associate to join our team at Informa Connect. As a key member of our sales team, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with foodservice operators, manufacturers, and other industry leaders to drive growth and success.
In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for prospecting, conducting discovery calls, and coordinating sales demonstrations to support our Business Development team. With a proven track record of generating new business through outbound emailing, cold calling, and social media outreach, you'll be a valuable asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct lead generation, prospecting, and sourcing high-potential leads within assigned territories
- Proactively schedule calls with prospective clients via phone and email (including cold calling)
- Research prospective clients or current clients to identify new sales opportunities, customize communications strategies, and ensure prospects understand the value of our extensive products and services
- Partner with Business Development Managers to support plans for sales territories, with a goal of supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- 1+ years in a BDR or SDR role, or relevant work experience
- Experience using lead generation tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, Salesforce, and other tools) to identify and capture key contacts
- Strong curiosity and interest in the foodservice and retail sectors
- Self-starter able to work independently and as a team with other sales professionals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and experience utilizing CRM software for all conversations, opportunities, and metrics
- Competitive salary range: $50,000 - $57,000 plus commission, offering the potential for further earnings based on performance
