Role Summary

The System Administrator/ISSO role is integral to a dedicated team that delivers Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services. This position entails providing on-site technical assistance to ensure the security and functionality of systems that support critical operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute operations on the RA/LRA/TMS system requiring privileged access.
  • Install, configure, and maintain RA/LRA/TMS workstations, ensuring the integrity of cryptographic modules.
  • Conduct routine operations on RA/LRA equipment, including system backups and monitoring for network threats.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs and archives of system access and cryptographic module management.
  • Support the Information Assurance Manager in upholding the security standards necessary for system accreditation.
  • Collaborate with other System Administrators across various locations.
  • Gather system artifacts for Risk Management Framework accreditation as needed.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Proficient understanding of networked computer systems and the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.
  • Familiarity with DoD SIPRNet token and Common Access Card (CAC) operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT processing principles and DoD IT security policies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and produce high-quality materials in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and physical demands.

Education and Experience

  • Exceptional communication skills for conveying technical information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • IAT level II Certification such as Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, or equivalent.

Language Proficiency

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
  • Skilled in report writing and presenting information effectively.

Reasoning Skills

  • Adept at solving practical problems and interpreting various forms of instructions.
