Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is on the lookout for a skilled Patient Intake Specialist to become a vital part of our Medical Oncology/Radiation Oncology Team. If you possess a robust background in outpatient care and are passionate about advancing cancer treatment initiatives, this role may be ideal for you.

Core Responsibilities:

Clinic Management: Ensure seamless patient appointments and daily clinic operations, demonstrating the ability to adapt to patient needs as they arise.

Patient Coordination: Work collaboratively with various departments, including transportation and interpreter services, to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Scheduling: Oversee and modify clinic schedules to meet patient requirements, ensuring maximum appointment availability.

Patient Engagement: Act as the friendly point of contact for patients, reminding them of their appointments and following up post-visit to ensure their satisfaction.

Record Management: Review charts and medical records with analytical skills, managing patient documentation and overseeing essential paperwork.

System Utilization: Efficiently use SMC and SCI computer systems, with a readiness to learn and adapt to new technologies as they develop.

Support Cancer Care Initiatives: Actively contribute to the goals and programs of the Cancer Institute, helping to fulfill the mission of delivering outstanding cancer care.

Insurance Assistance: Aid patients with insurance verification and billing questions, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Intake Coordinator, with strong proficiency in EPIC and a commitment to clinic intake operations, especially in outpatient environments.

Experience in oncology or cancer care is highly advantageous.

Demonstrated skills in scheduling, interdepartmental coordination, critical review of medical records, and support for cancer care initiatives.
