Material Logistics Specialist

Overview:
The Material Logistics Specialist is tasked with a variety of responsibilities including the loading, unloading, and transportation of materials to and from various job sites. This role is recognized as safety-sensitive.
Responsibilities:
Support electricians during the setup of new electrical systems or the maintenance and repair of existing systems.
May need to acquire certification for operating material handling equipment.
Could be designated as an approved driver for the delivery and receipt of materials.
Must adhere to all applicable state and local regulations.
Engage with clients, vendors, and Bergelectric personnel in a professional manner.
Utilize a range of hand and power tools to assist electricians in the efficient and safe installation of electrical and low-voltage materials.
Tasks include cleaning duties, as well as gathering and transporting materials and tools to electricians on-site.
Qualifications:
Under the guidance of the project foreman, receive, organize, and safely distribute materials to the workforce.
Responsible for cleaning and disposing of waste as directed by supervisors.
Physical Demands:
Work may occur indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions (cold, snow, rain, heat).
Environment may be noisy, cramped, dirty, and poorly ventilated.
Potential hazards include risks of electrical shock and other workplace accidents.
A standard workweek is 40 hours, although overtime may be required; electricians may need to work nights, weekends, or be on-call for emergencies.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the ground and exert a pulling force of 50 lbs.
Must effectively use legs, feet, hands, and arms to climb or maintain balance on scaffolding or ladders.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl in tight and awkward spaces is necessary.
Must have dexterity in arms and fingers to reach and handle materials, tools, and other equipment.
Must be capable of working from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms, or other equipment for which certification has been obtained.
Must be able to differentiate color-coded wires.
Working Environment:
Exposure to a variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, and heat.
High noise levels are to be expected.
Salary Range:
USD $20.00 /Hr.
