Accounts Payable Coordinator Job Description

United Franchise Group is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team in Newton, NC. As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing daily accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process daily accounts payable, including check and electronic payments
  • Audit invoices against purchase orders and research discrepancies
  • Enter accounts payable data and invoice coding into Great Plains
  • Ensure accounts payable are accurately approved by COO and/or department head
  • Prepare accounts payable checks, electronic funds transfers, and wire transfers as needed
  • Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files electronically
  • Confirm accounts payable is up to date for month end closing
  • Obtain and file tax resale certificates and W-9's
  • Ensure monthly account closing deadlines are adhered to
  • Assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in accounting or 2-5 years' experience processing AP
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP)
  • Experience using an ERP system; Great Plains (MS Dynamics) experience is desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook software along with excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Multi-company and multi-currency experience a must
