Position Overview:

Catalent in Somerset, NJ operates advanced oral solid dose manufacturing as part of the Oral and Specialty Delivery (OSD) division. Our facility features a cutting-edge laboratory, clinical, and commercial manufacturing site for oral dosage forms, in addition to being the Catalent Center of Excellence for managing Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

The Lead for Enterprise Business Intelligence will spearhead and manage the advancement and sophistication of the business intelligence lifecycle, encompassing data acquisition, transformation, analysis, and visualization. This position necessitates a robust combination of technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and business insight.

The Lead for Enterprise Business Intelligence will work in close collaboration with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and Enterprise Data Sciences & Analytics colleagues to ascertain the correct business requirements, design effective BI/analytics solutions, ensure data integrity and accuracy, and promote self-service BI throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic guidance, solution architecture, and leadership to business intelligence project teams, advocating for self-service BI, initiating, and managing a new Analytics Community of Practice, while fostering a collaborative and results-driven atmosphere. Demonstrated leadership experience, with a background in managing teams across various geographies. Required experience in the Life Sciences sector. Required familiarity with GxP processes. Oversee and manage a team of offshore contractors responsible for managed services, project delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives. Cultivate a culture of self-service BI and thought leadership through expertise and experience. Ensure adherence to data governance and quality standards throughout the data lifecycle. Employ advanced analytical techniques to derive insights from complex data sets, irrespective of their origin or format. Supervise the design and creation of intuitive and impactful data visualizations, dashboards, and reports utilizing Power BI to enhance understanding and communication of key insights. Anticipate up to 5% travel requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is advantageous. Over 7 years of demonstrated experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading global BI initiatives. Leadership experience, with a history of managing teams across diverse geographical locations. Required experience in the Life Sciences industry. Required knowledge of GxP processes. Familiarity with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services pertinent to data management and analytics. Experience with Power BI applications leveraging Databricks as the foundation is highly desirable. Proficiency in data visualization tools (SQL, Python, R) and BI visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, etc.). High proficiency in Microsoft Power BI. The individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.
