Catalent in Somerset, NJ, is the hub for oral solid dosage manufacturing operations within the Oral and Specialty Delivery (OSD) business unit. Our facility boasts a cutting-edge laboratory, clinical, and commercial manufacturing plant for oral dosage forms, in addition to being the Catalent Center of Excellence for managing Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

The Lead for Enterprise Business Intelligence will be tasked with steering and advancing the development and sophistication of the business intelligence lifecycle, encompassing data acquisition, transformation, analysis, and visualization. This position necessitates a robust combination of technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and business insight.

The Lead for Enterprise Business Intelligence will work in close collaboration with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and colleagues in Enterprise Data Sciences & Analytics to ensure that the appropriate business requirements are recognized, effective BI/analytics solutions are crafted, and data integrity and accuracy are maintained, while promoting self-service BI throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic guidance, solution architecture, and leadership to business intelligence project teams, advocating for self-service BI, and establishing a new Analytics Community of Practice to foster a collaborative and results-driven environment. Demonstrated leadership experience, with a background in managing teams across various geographical locations. Required experience in the Life Sciences industry. Familiarity with GxP processes is essential. Supervise and manage a team of offshore contractors engaged in managed services, project delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives. Cultivate a culture of self-service BI and thought leadership through expertise and experience. Ensure adherence to data governance and quality standards throughout the data lifecycle. Employ advanced analytical techniques to derive insights from complex datasets, irrespective of their origin or format. Oversee the creation and development of intuitive and impactful data visualizations, dashboards, and reports utilizing Power BI to enhance understanding and communication of key insights. Anticipate up to 5% travel requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree is advantageous. Over 7 years of proven experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role, with a solid record of leading global BI initiatives. Leadership experience with a history of working with teams across multiple regions. Required experience in the Life Sciences sector. Familiarity with GxP processes is essential. Knowledge of Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their relevant services for data management and analytics. Experience with Power BI applications leveraging Databricks is highly desirable. Proficiency in data visualization tools (SQL, Python, R) and BI visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, etc.). High proficiency in Microsoft Power BI. The individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.
