The Maintenance Department is seeking to appoint an Automation Maintenance Supervisor at our facility. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the maintenance and configuration of all automated systems within the plant, which includes robotics, stacking machinery, and auxiliary equipment.

Position Title: Automation Maintenance Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability and a collaborative spirit, capable of working independently when necessary.

Essential Duties:
  • Conduct regular diagnostic assessments on automated systems.
  • Supervise automated systems.
    • Identify issues and repair or replace components as needed.
    • Diagnose problems to determine if they are mechanical, electrical, or related to control systems.
    • Develop operational guidelines for automation equipment.
    • Execute and document preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Manage spare parts inventory effectively.
    • Adhere to and enforce GMP and Food Safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate ownership of the Maintenance team's outcomes.
  • Possess prior experience and knowledge in:
    • Troubleshooting electrical control systems
    • Working with 480, 230, 120VAC, and 24VDC
    • Wiring and programming Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
    • PLC programming and troubleshooting
    • HMI programming
    • Interpreting schematics
  • Exhibit a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Show the ability to learn rapidly with precision and thoroughness.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills during troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Maintain excellent attendance records.
  • Required Training (training will be provided as necessary):
    • Forklift Operation
    • Lockout/Tagout Procedures
    • Arc Flash Safety
    • Qualified Electrical Safety
    • First Aid/CPR Certification
    • Fire Extinguisher Training
    • Hazardous Communication
  • Education and Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
    • Certifications or degrees in electrical controls are advantageous.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
    • Additional Requirements:

      Candidates must successfully complete a Post Offer Essential Function Test (POET) and an Occupational Examination to demonstrate their ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job, which includes:
    • Vision Assessment
    • Hearing Assessment
    • Dexterity Assessment on Wrists, Grip, and Pinch (grip must meet specific gender and age criteria)
    • Lifting Assessment to confirm the ability to lift 50 lbs. from various heights
    • Push/Pull Assessment to confirm the ability to move 80 lbs. using an assisted device
Work Schedule:

Flexibility to work overtime as required. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
