Position Overview

As an associate at RSM, you will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, from large corporations to smaller enterprises across various sectors. You will cultivate strong professional relationships with clients by gaining insights into their operations and challenges. Each year, associates engage in multiple team projects, contributing to various aspects of assignments rather than focusing on a single component. This collaborative and respectful team atmosphere allows our associates to perform optimally while harmonizing their professional and personal lives.

As a member of our Federal Credits and Incentives (FCI) team, your responsibilities will center around two primary themes: your technical proficiency and commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support tax planning and research initiatives related to the Research and Development (R&D) credit, along with other federal credits and incentives.
  • Assist in managing multiple projects concurrently, which entails conducting client interviews, performing calculations, analyzing data, and coordinating resources.
  • Contribute to the drafting of opinion letters and the creation of other technical documentation.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses.
  • Facilitate the success of various R&D and federal credits engagements.
  • Enhance your skills through ongoing education and the pursuit of additional professional certifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progress toward the successful completion of the CPA examination.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
