Position Overview

As an associate at RSM, you will collaborate with a diverse range of companies, both large and small, across various sectors. You will cultivate robust working relationships with clients by gaining a deep understanding of their operations and challenges. Associates engage in multiple team projects each year, contributing to various aspects of assignments rather than focusing on a single component. As a member of our Federal Credits and Incentives (FCI) team, your responsibilities will center around two primary themes: your technical proficiency and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support tax planning and research initiatives related to the Research and Development (R&D) credit, along with other federal credits and incentives.
  • Assist in managing multiple projects concurrently, which will involve client interviews, calculations, analyses, data collection, and resource coordination.
  • Contribute to the drafting of opinion letters and the preparation of other technical memoranda.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's business landscape.
  • Play a vital role in ensuring the success of various R&D and federal credits engagements.
  • Enhance your skills through ongoing education and by pursuing additional professional certifications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progressing towards the successful completion of the CPA examination.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation for this role ranges from $63,360 to $75,600, and selected candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
