Job SummaryThe Senior Technical Specialist is responsible for becoming the subject matter expert for all MarketSource applications and will plan, coordinate and manage integrations within our business environment.
This role works closely with multiple internal teams and can also extend outwards to include external parties as part of the process to properly configure each application and identify integration scope.
Key Responsibilities- Must adhere to and support the Quality Assurance (QA) process to support IT's SDLC process
- Partner with MarketSource internal teams to create technical specifications for integration scope
- Review technical specifications document created by internal parties (ex: Solution Architect, System Analyst and Business Process Analyst) to ensure thoroughness & completeness and make best practice recommendations as appropriate
- Create technical specifications for integrations, reports, etc. to ensure they are complete, accurate, and provide best practice technical recommendations
- Create or request system configurations using Tableau, SQL queries, Matillion, Mulesoft and other related integration and ETL tools
- Troubleshoot integration cautions, failures, and logic gaps to determine root cause and provide guidance on possible solutions
- Monitor and maintain work requests that come through to ensure they are appropriately actioned and kept up-to-date
- Integrate for business purpose with internal and external IT and business teams
- Engage with vendor partners as needed for solutions and support
- Lead program launches and continuous improvement initiatives technical focus and delivery
- Participate in identifying and maintaining team best practices
- Good understanding of cloud computing (specifically SaaS applications) and exposure to technologies supporting applications
- Demonstrated proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of MarketSource business concepts and functions
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment (in person and virtual) as well the ability to work independently
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication (written and verbal) skills that enable the ability to take requirements from business user and translate into developer specifications
- Problem analysis and solving skills for mid to high level complexity problems; ability to identify root causes of problems and differentiate between perceived and actual problems
- Must be flexible with an ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, or work items concurrently while meeting prioritized deadlines
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of SQL Scripts (Ex: Select, Filter, and Join)
- Must have an eye for data quality and experience enforcing data governance
- Flexibility and adaptability outside the assigned core responsibilities
- Working knowledge of Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodologies: Waterfall and Agile.
- Four (4) in-office workdays per week and the option to work remote OR in office on fifth (5th) day
- Minimum - 5 year(s) experience in IT Business Analyst/Consulting role, or related position such as the IT Technical Specialist
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or related discipline or equivalent business experience
- Technical certifications are a plus
