As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care by drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and creating a welcoming environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately perform phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages.
- Prepare and process blood specimens for lab testing.
- Adhere to established practices and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive company image.
- Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and build trust with patients.
- Be flexible and available to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- 2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
