Caterpillar's Remanufacturing Division is seeking a 1st shift Section Manager for our operations.

This role will oversee and coordinate the activities of a complex production line, prepare schedules, address challenges, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate reports and maintain records of production processes, equipment performance, and inventory; share insights with management and propose improvements for safety, productivity, and quality.

2. Prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operational procedures and safety standards; ensure all processes and products comply with established safety and quality benchmarks.

3. Supervise and guide the daily activities of production line personnel, assign tasks, ensure team coordination, uphold safety standards, and monitor performance.

4. Train new employees, manage scheduling conflicts, oversee safety measures, and foster internal communication to cultivate a collaborative and continuous improvement culture.


Qualifications:
1. Relevant experience in manufacturing.
2. Leadership or supervisory experience.
3. Background in Customer Service, Manufacturing/Supply Chain, or Operations.

Preferred Attributes:
1. Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
2. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
3. Knowledge in Quality, Distribution, and Maintenance.
4. Ability to collaborate with a diverse workforce and clientele.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
6. Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Quality Management:

Familiarity with quality management principles and techniques, with the ability to foster an environment that meets organizational quality objectives.


Analytical Skills:

Proficient in techniques that facilitate effective analysis; capable of identifying root causes of organizational challenges and developing alternative solutions.


Planning and Organization:

Knowledgeable in planning and resource allocation; adept at organizing tasks to ensure timely completion while maintaining systematic workflows.


Process Improvement:

Insightful in evaluating product quality and production methodologies, with a focus on continuous enhancement of processes, products, and services.


Talent Management:

Understanding of human resources processes; ability to lead, motivate, assess, and reward team members effectively.


Manufacturing Operations:

Knowledgeable in daily manufacturing operations; capable of executing the operational tasks of a manufacturing facility.


Safety Awareness:

Understanding of manufacturing safety protocols; ability to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.


Training and Development:

Familiarity with training methodologies for production machinery; capable of delivering effective training sessions.
