Role Summary:
The Second Shift Production Supervisor is accountable for overseeing various functions within the production team. This role ensures that team members adhere to standards of efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance with company policies. Reporting directly to the Site Manager, this position is crucial for managing daily operations within designated areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe working environment and promote adherence to safety protocols among team members.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for productivity enhancements.
  • Serve as a role model for the department, fostering employee engagement with a positive and respectful demeanor.
  • Direct the efforts of staff to ensure coordinated work, minimize downtime, and meet established quality benchmarks.
  • Develop procedures and techniques aimed at reducing process variation and manufacturing delays while boosting productivity.
  • Participate in the hiring process and set clear expectations for new employees.
  • Manage team performance and collaborate with HR for any disciplinary actions.
  • Effectively communicate with team leads and members to ensure proper staffing.
  • Coordinate with other departments to guarantee the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Review and approve weekly payroll in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and supplies to meet production schedules.
  • Provide training and coaching to enhance team members' skills.
  • Coordinate production schedules with support departments and resolve any production-related issues.
  • Clearly communicate expectations and challenges to team members.
Qualifications:
Experience in a leadership role is essential.
Strong communication skills are required to interact with all organizational levels.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is necessary.
Ability to plan and implement effective changes is crucial.
Proficiency in math, including a solid understanding of fractions and angles.
Capability to read blueprints and cut lists.
Computer skills, including the ability to create and manage documents and spreadsheets, are important.
