The role of the Student Support Specialist 3 is designed for individuals who are committed to enhancing the educational experience of students at Calbright College. This full-time position operates under the guidance of the Student Support Coordinator and is essential in providing comprehensive support to both prospective and current students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional assistance to students regarding their program-related inquiries, ensuring accurate completion of necessary documentation.
- Address and resolve student, faculty, and community inquiries, directing them to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Conduct research and provide solutions for routine program-related issues, escalating complex matters to management as needed.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate effective communication and support for students.
- Assist students in navigating complex technical platforms and processes, ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Maintain and manage confidential student records and data within the appropriate databases.
- Monitor service requests and schedule appointments for program services as required.
- Contribute to the analysis of student data to identify trends and areas for improvement in retention and completion rates.
- Participate in the development and execution of communication strategies aimed at enhancing student persistence.
- Provide training and support to new team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of two years in an educational or customer support environment.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management software and data analysis tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse student population.
- Demonstrated commitment to improving outcomes for all students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds.
Work Environment
This position is primarily remote, requiring proficiency in digital communication tools and the ability to work independently. Regular attendance and adherence to college policies are essential for success in this role.
