Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for compiling necessary reports, requisitions, and statistical data, and may also oversee volunteer activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the provision of services by referring clients to necessary resources for emergency food, shelter, clothing, and medical assistance.
  • Acts as an advocate with governmental agencies to secure public assistance for clients.
  • Conducts reassessments of clients to evaluate the effectiveness of services provided.
  • Engages in outreach activities and represents the program at community meetings.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports, requisitions, and statistical analyses.
  • Regularly evaluates client programs to ensure they are meeting established goals.
  • Supervises volunteers, interns, and intake staff involved in client services.
  • Handles reception duties, including scheduling appointments and providing information and referrals.
  • Processes client intakes both via phone and in-person.
  • Performs light case management tasks as needed.
  • Promotes ongoing quality improvement and service delivery aligned with the Agency's mission.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of the client population.
  • Undertakes related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, a minimum of two years of college education along with one to three years of relevant experience is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency is essential.
  • Exhibits empathy and compassion when engaging with low-income populations, particularly those experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to plan both short- and long-term activities effectively.
  • Skilled in managing public interactions and relations.
  • Maintains accurate and organized records.
  • Develops and sustains effective working relationships.
  • Capable of analyzing and resolving issues.
  • Organized in directing multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Displays sensitivity, tact, and responsiveness in diverse situations.
