Position Overview:
The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing a variety of engaging activities for residents, promoting both social interaction and independent living skills within our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and facilitates activities that foster social engagement and
independence in daily living tasks.

Activities will encompass:
A. Social Engagement – promoting interaction among residents through group discussions, current events, bingo, arts and crafts, and music appreciation.
B. Daily Living Skills – supporting independent functioning through organized walks, snack times, and outings for meals.
C. Leisure Activities – encouraging personal interests and community involvement through card games, bowling, movie screenings, and gardening.
D. Physical Wellness – activities aimed at enhancing strength, coordination, and mobility, such as interactive games, dance sessions, and exercise classes.
E. Educational Opportunities – fostering continuous learning through safety talks, travel presentations, and study groups.

Community-Focused Activities:
I. Worship – facilitating attendance at the residents' chosen places of worship.
II. Community Service – engaging in initiatives that benefit the local area.
III. Community Events – organizing outings to concerts, tours, and theatrical performances.
IV. Group Activities – coordinating participation in local senior center events.
V. Free Time – allowing residents to pursue activities of their choice.

  • Acts as a support resource for the Office Manager and Receptionist.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and background check.
  • Current certification in Basic First Aid and CPR.
  • Proficiency in the Korean language.
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Essential Skills:
Possess the personal attributes, energy, and competence to effectively engage with older residents, their families, and staff members.

Supervisory Structure:
  • Authority to delegate responsibilities is not granted.

  • Supervision received from:
A.

Delegated by the Administrator, responsibilities include:
I. Designing and implementing activities that promote social engagement and independence in daily living.
II. Providing support to the Office Manager.
