Job Overview:

The Facilities Operations Manager (Senior Level) is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and maintaining essential utilities, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, water treatment processes, and other operational equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical components and electrical systems in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal guidelines, and safety regulations. The manager will also develop and maintain an inventory of spare parts and basic maintenance tools, recommending purchases to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, modifications, and general upkeep of facilities, including tasks such as painting, patching, fixture installation, and carpentry.
  • Address Facility Service Work Orders submitted by building occupants, which may involve plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofing, and electrical services. Diagnose issues within building management and energy management systems.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems, interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams as necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly, recording readings from equipment and entering data into appropriate logs.
  • Utilize standard tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols, using necessary personal protective equipment while fulfilling work requests.
  • Contribute to and achieve team-based goals within the facilities department.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC operations.
  • Possession of a 2nd degree stationary license.
  • Ability to qualify for a 1st degree license within one year (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A technical degree in a related field is advantageous.
  • Current universal refrigeration license and/or other relevant trade licenses are required.
