Role Summary

The Facilities Operations Manager will oversee facilities engineering, maintenance, and associated services for both administrative and laboratory environments across multiple locations. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors involved in the upkeep of facility infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding facilities management.
  • Maintain compliance with NeoGenomics quality, safety, and security standards.
  • Address and resolve emergency situations as they arise.
  • Contribute to and potentially lead the design, planning, and management of construction and maintenance projects.
  • Assist in the planning and oversight of departmental budget expenditures.
  • Actively supervise facilities technicians.
  • Support the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and expansion efforts.
  • Oversee preventative and general maintenance of building systems.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to implement and resolve facility-related compliance issues; actively participate in the EHS Safety Committee.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant facilities experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems is essential.
  • Preferred 5 years of supervisory experience in facilities management.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
  • IFMA Certified Facility Manager credential is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals for maintenance tasks is preferred.
  • Flexibility to accommodate potential off-hours calls.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively.
  • Adherence to specific safety protocols is required.
  • Physical capabilities include standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, manual manipulation, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a color vision assessment.
