Role: QA Tester with Manual Experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled QA Tester with manual experience to join our team at SmartIPlace. As a QA Tester, you will be responsible for overseeing the effort for testing, validating, and reviewing the functionality of various Information Technology Services (ITS) projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design, and lead execution efforts to guarantee superior outcomes.
- Work with internal stakeholders and team members to create innovative, high-quality, and defect-free solutions to meet our clients' business needs.
- Manage user testing, including developing test plans, creating user test cases, documenting test procedures, expected results, and defects.
- Assist in several automation framework/infrastructure enhancement tasks.
- Lead and manage testing activity for assigned automation infrastructure and conversion initiatives.
- Have a complete and in-depth understanding of the Engineering and QA toolsets and be able to train and mentor State Testing Resources.
- Review test automation industry tools and best practices to make sound recommendations on how to enhance and streamline our current testing framework and processes.
- Design or define optimal test conditions and use-cases to simulate real-time scenarios.
- Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, configuration, and user guides.
- Define, plan, design, and execute tests; prepare and manage statistical and status reports for unit managers and higher-level managers.
- Research and review system design and technical documentation to develop detailed system test estimate, design, and planning documents.
- Develop and maintain system test plans, system test scenarios, and manual and automated scripts.
- Execute manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and performance tests, analyze outcomes, and support resolution to successful completion of tests.
- Document and communicate test status and results; track, report, and validate defects and work with the team on resolution.
- Ensure consistency of data, map all integration sources, and identify obstacles as part of integration testing.
- Conduct role-based testing to ensure compatibility with organizational profile policies.
- Assist in the planning, creation, and control of the test environments.
- Ability to work in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Contribute to test framework design across the enterprise application suite that maximizes maintainability and speed of execution.
- Contribute to design and implementation of supporting processes and tools that drive effective test automation delivery (source code management, code review, agile development, etc.).
Requirements:
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience testing, including test planning, test development (test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios), and test execution.
- Minimum of 5 years of testing experience leveraging the.NET framework (4.0 or later), C#, and Visual Studio 2019 or later.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience using QA Automation Tools such as Selenium or HP/Microfocus Test Tools (i.e. ALM/ALM Octane, Performance Center).
- Minimum of seven (6) years of experience using database query tools and writing SQL (i.e. Toad, AQT, etc.).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience analyzing and executing batch processing jobs.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in testing SOAP/REST WebAPIs/WebServices using Postman or any related tool.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience using office automation and project planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Visio, Microsoft Excel.
