About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Analyst to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for capturing and developing new business opportunities in the advanced radar systems market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture Contract Research and Development (CRAD) to support our technology roadmap for current and next generation programs.
  • Identify, qualify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities that advance next generation Lockheed Martin technology and increase Department of Defense warfighting capability.
  • Establish, maintain and expand relationships with government labs acquisition customers and identify LM technology solutions.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to mature RMS-IWSS' radar sensors and associated technologies product offerings, develop prototypes, and shape next generation architectures.
  • Collaborate with IWSS Market Segments to position LM for mid- and long-term capture opportunities by driving future product strategies, investments, and partnering opportunities.
  • Integrate with LM's Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) and LM Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) to shape and pursue next generation sensor CRAD for transition to IWSS radar sensors.
  • Define and lead operational analysis efforts to identify and validate advanced system solutions to solve customer needs and fill capability gaps.
  • Manage New Business Fund accounts (Market Assist, Bid and Proposal, Internal Research and Development).
  • Develop, review, and execute capture and customer engagement plans in support of current and next generation opportunities.
  • Develop next generation strategies and proposals with Capture Managers, Program Managers, and Technical Subject Matter Experts and brief them to IWSS Executives and Rotary and Mission System Leadership.
  • Assist in development of product and technology roadmaps.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of engineering, program management, business development, or military experience including experience with RF sensors, Electronic Warfare, Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Architecture Technologies.
  • Experience working capture/ S&T / prototyping / and production activities associated with advanced RF sensing, Directed Energy systems, and advanced electronics.
  • Experience shaping, capturing, and executing CRAD and S&T projects.
  • Experience analyzing DoD customer requirements, future warfighting needs, and identifying technology solutions.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to synthesize a broad range of information to identify potential solutions to customer requirements.
  • Superior awareness of, and ability to effectively interact with, current and potential DOD customers.
  • Team Player- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams.
  • A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel when required.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance in a highly competitive environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate strategies, technology and capabilities
  • Deal closer – must be highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion.
Desired Skills
  • Previous experience in a Lockheed Martin RMS Business Area.
  • Knowledge of IWSS radar products and services.
  • Direct experience and active engagement with DOD Labs [Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Naval Research Laboratories (NRL), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO)].
  • Direct experience leading complex research and development projects and cross functional teams.
