- Conduct Surveillance and Reporting: Conduct regular surveillance and reporting of infection control activities, including monitoring of infection rates and trends.
- Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on infection control practices, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and isolation procedures.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with healthcare teams, including nursing, medical staff, and other departments, to ensure effective infection control practices.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA and The Joint Commission standards.
- Current RN License: Current RN license in Massachusetts.
- Experience in Infection Control: Minimum of two years experience in infection control, epidemiology, and/or microbiology.
- Education and Certification: Education and experience in occupational health and safety, and certification in BLS of Adult, Child, and Infant.
