Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Infection Control Programs: Design, implement, and evaluate infection control programs to prevent and control the spread of infections.
  • Conduct Surveillance and Reporting: Conduct regular surveillance and reporting of infection control activities, including monitoring of infection rates and trends.
  • Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on infection control practices, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and isolation procedures.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with healthcare teams, including nursing, medical staff, and other departments, to ensure effective infection control practices.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA and The Joint Commission standards.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Current RN license in Massachusetts.
  • Experience in Infection Control: Minimum of two years experience in infection control, epidemiology, and/or microbiology.
  • Education and Certification: Education and experience in occupational health and safety, and certification in BLS of Adult, Child, and Infant.
