Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager to join our team in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for the purchasing and supply management activities for indirect categories and subcategories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze and coordinate projects to increase supply resilience for indirect costs, drive reduced total cost of ownership, and leverage market and supplier knowledge to drive lower TCO.
  • Represent Abbott strategically in the industry and community, and continually look for opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and provision of overall value improvements.
  • Measure and track team performance, and be a self-starter/results-focused individual who brings ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and other functional teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • 5-8 years of track record within procurement and supply chain management, with a focus on indirect categories and subcategories.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar certification desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading teams and managing change in a large-sized organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop actionable implementation plans and negotiate with suppliers.
About the Role

This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA, and we offer a competitive salary range of $125,700.00 - $251,500.00, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical coverage, retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and education benefits.
