Capital Procurement Manager

We're seeking a skilled Capital Procurement Manager to join our team in Alameda, CA. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the capital procurement strategy, working closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure our commercial terms support the goals and objectives of the business.
Key Responsibilities- Build relationships with key suppliers and maintain regular leadership communications, serving as the main point of contact for all commercial discussions.
- Develop and implement Capital strategy through analytics, data and cross-functional collaboration.
- Negotiate commercially favorable terms (reduced cost, shorter lead times, improved quality).
- Assist with overall program management to ensure Capital purchases are delivered per the agreements.
- Develop an understanding of the Automation landscape, including top suppliers, best practices, largest customers and new technologies.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Master's Degree, MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
- 5-8 year track record within procurement and supply chain management.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar certification desirable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification desirable.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills International experience.
- Some knowledge of markets by regions.
- Some experience with Supplier management.
- Ability to develop actionable implementation plans.
- Relevant business process knowledge, as related to Procurement and Category Management.
- Deep knowledge of category technologies and products.
- Strong negotiating skills Some experience leading teams.
- Ability to travel approximately 30%, including internationally.
- Financial acumen.
- Understanding of Automation and assembly machines.
- Effective skills to build relationships and productively interface with all levels of the Business.
