The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Indirect Procurement Manager in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As a global leader in diabetes care, we're constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.
As an Indirect Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the purchasing and supply management activities for indirect categories and subcategories. You will work closely with key stakeholders in both the Abbott Corporate and Diabetes Care Divisional organizations.
What You'll Do:- Support the creation of the vision and strategy for the indirect function in ADC, ensuring implementation and leverage of best practices and compliance across all purchasing areas.
- Nurture stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, helping to identify critical business requirements and provide sourcing and procurement services that meet expectations.
- Analyze and coordinate projects to increase supply resilience for indirect costs, drive reduced total cost of ownership by optimizing Tier 2 and Tier 3 supply chains, and leverage extensive market and supplier knowledge to drive lower TCO.
- Represent Abbott strategically in the industry and community, continually looking for opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and provision of overall value improvements, while measuring and tracking team performance.
We're looking for a self-starter/results-focused individual with a strong track record in procurement and supply chain management. You'll bring ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and other functional teams, excellent interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence/negotiation, and networking skills.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or similar certification is desirable. Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is also desirable.
