About the Role

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Capital Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the capital procurement strategy, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive capital procurement strategy, leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating commercially favorable terms and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and engineering, to identify and prioritize capital procurement needs.
  • Manage and execute capital procurement projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a focus on capital procurement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional certifications, such as CPSM or CPM, are highly desirable.
  • Experience with supplier management and negotiation is a plus.
