Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will provide critical support to the HR Manager in managing the daily functions of the department and will be involved in a wide range of HR-related tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives, as well as maintaining a positive and engaging workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with department managers and supervisors to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • HR Support: Conduct background checks and employment eligibility verifications; conduct new hire orientation; regularly work in HRIS, entering new hires, changes, terminations.
  • Employee Relations: Provide support to employees in various HR-related areas such as benefits and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience recruiting and onboarding employees.
  • Able to connect and build positive relationships with employees and management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least three years of Human Resources Assistant, Generalist and/Recruiting experience.
  • SHRM-CP certification, or HRCI's PHR certification.
