About the Role

This is a key position within the Financial Actuarial & Analytics (FAA) Community of Expertise at Willis Towers Watson. As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Director, you will be responsible for leading clients' financial/actuarial engagements for a portfolio of clients and/or significantly contributing to complex clients across the full spectrum of employer health and group benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement: Communicate and deliver complex concepts and financial/actuarial/analytic results to effectively drive client action and improve plan performance.
  • Leadership: Lead medium to large clients' financial/actuarial engagements and develop and deliver the financial/actuarial strategy for a portfolio of Medium and/or large clients.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through client sales of additional actuarial, financial, and/or risk solutions.
  • Consulting Quality: Provide consulting quality reviews and client delivery for all types of financial/actuarial deliverables.
  • Team Guidance: Guide team (regional and global) on deliverables based on client need; reviews models and presentations for client delivery.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years' experience and demonstrated success in the delivery of complex health and welfare financial/actuarial strategies and analysis in a consulting or brokerage environment.
  • Revenue Generation: Proven ability to generate revenue.
  • Client Relationship Management: Track record of success in managing and growing client relationships.
  • Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding and expert knowledge in all aspects of employee benefit plan design, underwriting and funding concepts.
  • Data Analytics: Proven ability to lead data analytic projects.
  • Intellectual Capital: Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and leading the development of new intellectual capital.
  • Judgement and Experience: Ability to leverage judgement and past experiences to predict which methods will work.
  • Client Segments: Multiple years of experience across one or multiple client segments.
  • Executive Presence: An executive presence with polished and well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Influence and Collaboration: Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Licenses and Certifications: State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining; Actuarial designation and current continuing education (optional).
