Parking Enforcement Officer

At SP+, we are committed to making every moment matter for a world on the go. As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with parking policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public, answering questions and providing directions as needed.
  • Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with parking policies, using a computerized handheld device or manual tickets.
  • Assist with parking equipment maintenance, including inspecting and assessing lots for maintenance issues, painting, cleaning, and repairing parking meters and pay-and-display machines.
  • Collect and secure parking revenues and fees, using various payment methods and technologies.
  • Support event staff with parking-related activities, including setting up for events, traffic control, and lot usage control.
  • Assist office staff with permit sales during peak seasons, including data entry, collating mailings, and providing frontline customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgment and maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of geography, hazards, and safety precautions.
  • Ability to use a handheld computer, operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle, and interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods and work in all weather conditions.
Work Environment

As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with the public and working in various weather conditions. You will be required to stand, walk, and use your hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. You will also be exposed to outside weather conditions, including snowstorms and extreme heat.
