Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in the construction industry. As a key player in our construction projects, you will be responsible for estimating costs for renovation and framing, and working closely with our team of builders.


Responsibilities



  • Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to understand project feasibility and requirements.
  • Evaluate and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure they meet the project's scope and specifications.
  • Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs, etc.) and coordinate with the project management team.
  • Continually review and monitor project costs, ensuring the project stays within the budget.
  • Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Prepare and present cost reports and findings to senior management, providing clear and concise insight into project costs.

Requirements



  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in multi-family construction estimating.
  • Proven experience working on mid-rise, condominium, and apartment projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with estimation software and tools.
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
