About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Risk Manager RN to join our team at Providence Oregon Regional Shared Services. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in supporting and conducting risk management initiatives across our healthcare continuum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential risks to patient safety and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Patient Safety, Quality Management, Customer Care, and Medical Staff Services to ensure effective quality improvement and grievance resolution efforts.
  • Develop and Implement Risk Management Plans: Create and implement plans to address identified risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Education and Training: Educate caregivers on risk management best practices and provide training on risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Risk Management Efforts: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License
  • 5 years of Clinical Experience in a progressively responsible position requiring contact with various departments.
  • Demonstrated Clinical Expertise and experience related to a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models.
  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience
  • Effective Communication Skills with physicians, nursing, public, and all levels of hospital management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare, or Business Administration
  • Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) Certification
  • Experience working with Patient Claims & Risk Management issues
