Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Grant Administration Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to faculty members and researchers in securing funding opportunities and managing grants. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as knowledge of university policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for:
  1. Coordinating the pre-award process, including reviewing proposals, assembling application packages, and submitting proposals to sponsors;
  2. Monitoring and tracking grant awards, ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations, and reporting to faculty members and department administrators;
  3. Providing training and guidance to faculty members and staff on grant development and administration procedures;
  4. Developing and maintaining relationships with external funding agencies and sponsors.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field;
  • At least 6 years of experience in grant administration, research project management, and budgeting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty members, department administrators, and other stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations related to sponsored research.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. UMass Amherst offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
