About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Interim Student Bridges Program Director at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader who can provide strategic guidance and operational oversight to the Student Bridges Program, while fostering a positive and inclusive community.

Job Summary

This interim one-year position will provide program and operational leadership, overseeing the development and implementation of outcomes-based programs and services supporting student success and the student experience. The successful candidate will design and teach service-learning seminars, manage student placements, and build a strong team to achieve program goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provides direction and leadership for the Student Bridges Program, defining priorities and allocating resources to ensure successful completion of goals.
  2. Designs and teaches two service-learning seminars, evaluating and documenting class sessions and student learning.
  3. Manages student community service-learning placements and attends meetings with community partner sites.
  4. Serves as a key leader in the AISP collaborative, liaising with faculty advisors, community partners, and campus partners.
  5. Builds and sustains a positive and effective staff able to meet or exceed programmatic goals and objectives.
  6. Establishes and sustains a culture of data-informed decision making.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Social Justice, or Sociology, or related field.
  • Three years of related work experience with demonstrated progression of greater responsibility in providing academic, developmental, and related programs and services for multicultural and diverse student populations.
  • Proven ability to design, plan, teach, and evaluate community service-learning courses.
  • Cultivated cultural competency and superior intercultural communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with community partners and agencies.
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000-100,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
