Your Role

The District Product Support Manager (DPSM) serves as the primary liaison between our company and the dealership/customer base. This position is crucial for fostering strong relationships with dealers and end-users. The DPSM will assist dealers in delivering exceptional parts and service, while also enhancing their product support capabilities. A key focus will be on dealer development, implementing best practices to boost efficiency and profitability in their parts and service departments. The DPSM plays a significant role in customer retention, which is essential for increasing market share through repeat business.

Dealer Management Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations of dealerships through the Dealer Parts and Service Review (DSR) process.
  • Support District Sales Managers in assessing potential new dealerships.
  • Guide new dealers in establishing their parts and service operations.
  • Ensure dealers understand company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the termination process of dealers when necessary.
  • Engage in regular discussions with existing dealerships to enhance performance and follow up on service reviews.
  • Advise dealer sales teams on the proper service and maintenance of all products.
  • Respond to dealer requests regarding adjustments to commercial policies.
  • Drive district parts sales to achieve annual operating plan targets.
  • Promote all parts and service initiatives actively at dealerships.

Customer Service Duties

  • Provide technical support and feedback as needed.
  • Communicate directly with dissatisfied customers to resolve issues.
  • Encourage effective stocking and planning practices among dealers.

Qualifications for Success

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Ability to make informed, timely decisions.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Proficient negotiation abilities.
  • Solid financial understanding.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • 2-3 years of experience in product support or 1-2 years as a DSM Trainee.
