The Service Operations Manager is responsible for leading the branch service department and overseeing technicians and mechanics who work in the shop and the field. The technicians perform a variety of functions, including maintaining the Company's rental fleet, performing scheduled maintenance or warranty work, diagnosing and repairing customer equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the branch service department and oversee technicians and mechanics.
- Coordinate cost-effective and reliable service for customers.
- Maintain workflow, including scheduling repairs, assigning mechanics, and setting priorities.
- Effectively manage work orders and timely completion of repairs.
- Responsible for revenue and gross margin growth, and profitable operations.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a service department.
- 5+ years of work experience with P&L responsibility and achievement of profitable results.
- Proven track record in training, scheduling, and managing field technicians.
- Strong technical competence in mechanical functions and specialized equipment repair.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to service operations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Compensation Range depends on Manager's ability to achieve profit and bonus targets: $80,000-$100,000.
- Compensation consists of salary and bonuses based on achieving annual targets.
