Distribution Operations Manager

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of goods to customers and/or vendors. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, material handling, and shipping and receiving.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with personnel, customers, and vendors to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist with on-time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions on freight and ETA adjustments.
  • Communicate operational safety standards and take proactive steps to create a positive safety culture at the warehouse.
  • Work with personnel and/or drivers to resolve service issues and coordinate warehouse resources to maintain working processes.
  • Perform administrative duties, including payroll, management of the Net-Revenue budget, safety event reviews, and filing and documenting.
  • Maximize efficiency of operations and profitability, make recommendations for continuous improvement, and measure key performance indicators for both operations and warehouse processes.
  • Utilize personnel management, including training and orientation of personnel, and assistance with internal and third-party systems.
  • Fulfill physical requirements, including lifting/moving appliances up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field and 1-2 years of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience.

  • Experience in distribution, warehouse operations, and training others.
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements.

Compensation:

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $51,200.00 and $76,800.00. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

The Company offers the following benefits for full-time positions, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical benefit, dental benefit, vision benefit, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid time off commensurate with tenure, six weeks of paid maternity leave, two weeks of paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually.
