Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and committed Morning Meal Service Specialist to enhance the breakfast experience for our guests at Silver Property Management, Inc. This role is essential in upholding food safety standards, adhering to operational procedures, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Breakfast Duties:

  • Prepare all food items at least 15 minutes prior to the breakfast service.
  • Cook oatmeal following established recipes and ensure a steady supply throughout breakfast hours.
  • Set up the waffle station and prepare the batter.
  • Organize condiments, utensils, plates, napkins, and check the coffee machine functionality.
  • Ensure the juice machine is operational and cups are readily available.
  • Arrange the bagel display and ensure the toaster and slicer are ready for use.
  • Provide serving utensils for all buffet offerings.
  • Set up the cereal dispenser according to the breakfast layout.
  • Display the specialty menu prominently for guests.
  • Be prepared to explain buffet items to guests.

During Breakfast Service:

  • Greet and assist guests as they arrive in the breakfast area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure all breakfast items are well-stocked.
  • Dispose of waste and offer assistance with guests' waste disposal as needed.
  • Keep the breakfast area clean and organized.

Product Management:

  • Receive deliveries from approved vendors promptly, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Store products with a focus on temperature control to maintain food safety.
  • Adhere to the FIFO (First In, First Out) method when organizing inventory.
  • Monitor expiration dates and remove expired items from stock.
  • Report any quality or delivery issues to the Manager.

End-of-Service Duties:

  • Ensure breakfast service continues until the scheduled closing time.
  • Clean and restock the coffee machine, including checking levels and refilling as necessary.
  • Maintain the juice machine, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Thoroughly clean all equipment, utensils, and dining surfaces.
  • Restock cereal compartments and clean them weekly.
  • Store all utensils and equipment properly in the kitchen.
  • Restock yogurt, milk, and condiments while following FIFO guidelines.
  • Ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Label and cover all products, checking expiration dates regularly.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and report any inventory issues to the Manager.
  • Complete inventory sheets and report any incidents during the shift.

Qualifications:

  • Food Safety Manager certification or the ability to obtain it shortly after hiring.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety.
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to work weekends and early morning shifts as needed.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a similar role is advantageous.
  • Assist the Entertainment Director with two events monthly.
