POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary role of this position is to assist in the preparation and serving of meals while ensuring cleanliness and sanitary conditions in kitchen and dining areas, as directed by the Food Service Director or Cook. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by community representatives. Adherence to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies is essential, as well as compliance with established standards of practice set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in high school or possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation is preferred.
  • Must maintain current state-specific food handler training requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff.
  • Must observe proper safety and sanitation techniques.
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours as required by the position.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.

Shift and Wage:

  • Part-Time Opportunities Available
