Area Manufacturing Manager Job Description

Crown Beverage North America is seeking a highly qualified Area Manufacturing Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations throughout North America. Reporting to our Vice President, Operations, and working with senior business management, the successful candidate will have responsibilities as follows:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commitment to Safety: Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all employees and their families, aligning with Crown's total safety culture.
  • Operational Management: Direct and coordinate activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies, managing organizational operations effectively.
  • Productivity and Quality: Manage productivity and quality metrics to minimize costs and enhance efficiency, supporting Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to achieve business plans for growth and profit.
  • Leadership and Strategy: Lead Operations managers to evaluate and take actions consistent with the Company and Division's overall strategy, working with the leadership team to shape, develop, and implement division strategy.
  • Business Development: Advise the VP, Operations on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues that relate and impact the operations of the Division.
  • Process Improvement: Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI, increased cash flow, and workflow optimization.
  • Talent Development: Provide mentoring, guidance, and training and development to direct reports and other employees throughout the operations.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Optimize customer satisfaction and loyalty through improved operations and the highest levels of quality.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Beverage Engineering team that supports these locations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a highly qualified professional in Operations Leadership, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Postgraduate education, including an MBA, is a plus. A minimum of 7 years of pertinent industry experience is required, with broad-based proficiency demonstrated in operations, finance, budgeting, project management, continuous improvement, quality, and safety.

We are seeking a results-driven individual with strong relationship-building skills, solid judgment, critical thinking skills, a sense of teamwork and community, the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively, and high organization. The individual should possess superior people skills, with a history of developing talent for progression within the organization.
