About the Role

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of space travel. We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a GS2 Final Assembly Technician D-Shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment setup.
  • Assist with the transition from development to production, including first-article testing.
  • Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical, fluid, composites, and electrical flight hardware assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models.
  • Operate various materials handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions, such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of direct experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas.
  • Perform repetitive work, including lifting of heavy items (over 50lbs).
  • Work off-shift, extended hours, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certification, trade school training, or a degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on refining and improving processes.
  • Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it.
