Patient Care Specialist

At Deborah Heart and Lung Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Critical Care Nursing.
Responsibilities
• Perform a variety of patient care duties, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and wound care.
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Requirements
• High School Degree or equivalency, with completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program.
• 1-3 years of experience as a nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, or other related healthcare experience.
• American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification, with preferred certifications in Nurse Aide, EKG, and Phlebotomy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work well with others, be conscientious, organized, and reliable.
Work Environment
• Bi-Weekly Hours: 64 hours per pay period / 7A-7P Shift.
• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
