Sales Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Clerk Leader to join our team at the Coast Guard Community Services Command. As a Sales Clerk Leader, you will be responsible for leading the sales team and ensuring the smooth operation of the sales department.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the sales team and provide guidance and support to sales staff
- Ensure the sales department is operating efficiently and effectively
- Monitor and maintain sales inventory and stock levels
- Communicate directly with HQ staff to resolve customer and merchandise issues
- Assist with training employees on cash register and front-end duties
- Operate a cash register and handle customer transactions
- Prepare and maintain cash overage and shortage records
- Control and secure the change fund, safe, and cash registers
- Key carrier and open/close the store as required
- Direct/supervise other employees and be responsible for the overall store in the absence of management
- Prior retail experience in inventory control and sales
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more and stand for long periods of time
- Computer experience
- Experience operating a cash register and working knowledge of sales inventory (preferred)
- Previous retail supervisory experience (preferred)
