Assistant Hotel Manager

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel. This position is vital for ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and enhancing the overall performance of the hotel. The AGM is actively involved in managing hourly staff, including their scheduling, direction, and training, while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commit to delivering exceptional guest experiences and service.
- Gain proficiency in all managerial functions and hotel operations.
- Ensure timely training and compliance with company policies for all associates.
- Uphold safety and security standards in accordance with company guidelines.
- Drive initiatives to enhance revenue, reduce costs, and improve guest and associate satisfaction.
- Act as the primary management contact for guest service issues, resolving them promptly.
- Engage with guests to identify opportunities for future travel needs and quality lead generation.
- Assist in maximizing revenue and ensuring budgeted financial goals are met.
Additional Duties:
- Support the GM in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Promote teamwork and a positive work atmosphere among all associates.
- Participate in daily team meetings to encourage continuous improvement and provide necessary guidance.
- Assist in monitoring labor costs and maintaining operational efficiency.
- Ensure associates have the tools and resources needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Serve as the acting manager in the absence of the GM.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms and facilities.
- Manage purchasing processes and ensure timely receipt of products.
- Assist with hotel sales activities and monitor social media for guest engagement.
- Prioritize cleanliness and satisfaction for both guests and associates.
