Position Overview:
As a Robotics Systems Engineer at KLA-Belgium, you will play a pivotal role in the development of advanced mechatronic and motion control systems. Your expertise will contribute to the innovation of our product divisions, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of technology in the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, model, and simulate precision control systems utilizing advanced techniques such as loop shaping and feedforward control.
2. Specify, document, and procure essential components for mechatronic systems, including controllers, amplifiers, actuators, and sensors.
3. Support new product development through custom instrument implementation and design.
4. Engage in the design and construction of custom instruments to facilitate new product initiatives.
5. Conduct analysis and simulation of mechanical and mechatronic systems using tools like Creo and ANSYS.
6. Develop innovative concepts to meet structural and dynamic system requirements.
7. Collaborate in building and troubleshooting designs in laboratory and cleanroom environments.
8. Assess the cost, schedule, and scope of potential design options.
9. Contribute to system-level performance discussions and design reviews.
10. Embrace the challenge of solving complex technical problems within a multi-disciplinary and multicultural global organization.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and controller design.
- Experience in designing mechanical hardware using CAD software.
- Ability to work effectively in laboratory settings and engage in hands-on activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A persistent, flexible, and collaborative team player.
- Willingness to travel, with potential international travel not exceeding 10%.
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development.

Minimum Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field with no prior experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant work experience.
