Federal Credits and Incentives Tax Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Associate to join our Federal Credits and Incentives team at RSM. As a Tax Associate, you will work closely with clients to identify and capitalize on federal credits and incentives, providing expert guidance and support to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with tax planning and research, focusing on Research and Development (R&D) credits and other federal credits and incentives.
- Implement multiple projects simultaneously, including client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and resource coordination.
- Draft opinion letters and write technical memoranda.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses and drive the success of multiple R&D or federal credits engagements.
- Maintain competency through ongoing education and professional certifications.
- Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Travel to client locations is required; must have access to reliable transportation.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Working towards successful completion of the CPA exam.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $63,360 - $75,600
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
