Overall Objectives of Position:
The Custodian is responsible for the routine upkeep, sanitation, and maintenance of designated facilities within the Tribal Government's infrastructure. This role is vital in ensuring a clean and safe environment for all employees and visitors.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate the preparation and arrangement of rooms and facilities based on specific instructions for scheduled events.
2. Maintain cleaning equipment in optimal working condition and ensure the security of all supplies.
3. Execute tasks with minimal disruption to the daily operations of the department.
4. Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning materials, alerting the Custodial Supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
5. Report any maintenance issues observed, such as leaks or damage.
6. Operate custodial machinery, including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers, safely and efficiently.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Daily Responsibilities:
1. Clean assigned buildings and facilities according to a predetermined schedule.
2. Restock supplies (e.g., hand towels, soap) as necessary.
3. Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with established housekeeping and infection control protocols.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a custodial or housekeeping role preferred.
- Six months of experience in a custodial capacity within an office environment preferred.

Skills Required:
- Strong commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficient in multitasking with a strong focus on quality and integrity.
- Must be physically fit, capable of performing various physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects weighing up to fifty pounds.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with a diverse audience.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.

Additional Requirements:
- Maintain a record of reliability and punctuality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to travel for training and development opportunities.
- Must fulfill all responsibilities associated with this position effectively.
