Lead Day Habilitation Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Lead Day Habilitation Specialist to join our team at ACLD. As a key member of our Day Habilitation Program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide structure and emotional support to program participants to help them achieve their personal goals and exceed their expectations.
  • Assist in resolving behavioral issues and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Help individuals with personal hygiene and daily living skills.
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation to ensure seamless communication and collaboration with team members.
  • Transport program participants to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Clean and valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Supervisory experience and ability to lead a team.
  • Willingness to complete trainings in SCIP, CPR, and AMAP.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Salary Range

Competitive hourly rate, with some programs and locations offering a differential.
