Join Our Team as a Lead Day Habilitation Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Lead Day Habilitation Specialist. As a key member of our Day Habilitation Program, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support to program participants to help them achieve their personal goals
  • Assist in resolving behavioral issues and promoting a positive and inclusive environment
  • Help individuals with personal hygiene and daily living skills
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation
  • Transport individuals to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One-year experience in OPWDD field required; two years of ACLD experience preferred
  • Complete required training in SCIP, CPR, First Aid, and AED within 90 days of hire and maintain certification
  • Obtain AMAP certification within 180 days of hire and maintain
  • Ability to assist with lifting and transferring individuals
  • Ability to communicate and understand in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Clean valid NYS driver's license
Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Salary Range:

Competitive hourly rate, with some programs/locations offering a differential
