Position Overview:
TransForce is currently seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Transport Operator.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class B CDL
- Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements are preferred
- Experience with manual transmission is a plus
- Clean driving record (no major violations, tickets, or accidents in the past five years)
- Must successfully complete pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted regularly
- Must pass background checks for secure facility access
Key Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and guidelines
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate inspection records
- Keep daily mileage and fuel dispense logs
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in various environments, including heavy traffic and construction sites
- Refuel heavy machinery with diesel fuel
- Perform daily greasing of all heavy equipment components
- Top off fluids as necessary
- Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean and orderly condition
- Adhere to the company's health and safety protocols
- Foster positive relationships with team members
